Post 1302 and SAL donate gift certificates to feed Veterans
On Wednesday January 30th, we visited the Veterans Residence at Poughkeepsie Commons on Hudson Avenue to present them with $ 1,000 in gift cards from Sam’s Club. A $500 donation was approved at the last Post meeting and matched by the Sons. This donation was to provide proteins to supplement the non-perishable food we collect and deliver each week. Kudo’s to Past Commander Bob Cohen for setting up collection boxes at Adams and Stop and Shop and to Dennis Sheehan, John Santiamo, and Tom Royce for picking up the food weekly and delivering it to Castle Point and Poughkeepsie.
